Rahi Bains has been in the Music and Song industry for about 50 years. He has been honoured with several life time achievement awards due to the great support received by the people and the community.
- Appreciation of Services to the community by The Bexley & Sidcup Lions Club in 2018.
- A Special Recognition Award by The MTM Bristol in 2016.
- Mr Rahi Bains felt honoured when he recently was awarded “The Mohd. Rafi Award” as “Honour for Creative Work in Music” by the internationally renowned Guru Nanak Universal Sewa UK. Mohd. Rafi has been the most versatile singer of the Indian film industry who could sing in any style (classical to folk) and in any language.
- In the Year 2014, Rahi ji was awarded MTM Awards in December at the Bristol Marriott Hotel City Centre.for Outstanding services to the Music Industry.
- In the Year 2013, he was presented with “The Melvin Jones Fellow Award”for Dedicated Humanitarian Services by the Lions Clubs International Foundation. Rahi ji does a lot of charity work.
- In the Year 2011, Mr Rahi Bains was honoured in Jalandhar, Punjab, with K.L.Saigal Memorial Institute Award for his outstanding contributions to vocal music. (Late K.L. Saigal or Late Shri Kundan Lal Saigal).

Singing at Portsmouth Gurudwara
Hi, Rahi Bains comes to Gurudwara in Portsmouth. We are blessed that every Sunday he comes and do the Kirtan program starting at 12 noon to 1:30pm. He does beautiful Kirtan and Shabad. He also does this on a request as well. So if you have any special Vinti (request) you want to put across to them, the following week they will present. So they their time. Pyaar de naal Kirtan Kartey ne. Te Saari Sangat vich ral ke bahut kush hondi hai. Una da program sun ke, every week.
Great Singer who stole the show! – East African Schools’ Reunion

I work as a Sewdar at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Sar in Portsmouth. I have to say that Respected Rahgbir Singh Rahi comes to Gurudwara and does Kirtan every Sunday. He has been doing this for serveral years in fact since 1967 he has been coming to Gurudwara Portsmouth. He does his sewa with this mind, body and soul. Sangat feels very happy listening to his shabads. Please do come on Sunday’s to listen to his shabads.
